Getting Back to Saving Big!

Hi Yall~! Its been a long summer but I am back now and anxious to jump back into shopping and making some great deals to share with everyone who takes the time to read my blog.

Heres my most recent trip to Walgreens. Im dying to get to CVS but since Walgreens is just around the corner it will have to do. =-)

The Candles were on sale for $2 each and when you buy 2 you get $1 register reward. FOrtunately I had several of the coupons for free Glade Soy Candle and I still got the RR even though I didnt pay for the candle. The batteries are on sale for $2.99. I used 2 coupons. 1 coupon for 1.50 off any Duracell batteries and the other coupon was for .75 off any Duracell batts. There was also $1 RR back for each package of batteries so total I paid was $3.73 plus tax and I got back $5 Register Rewards!!!

ANGEL SOFT CLEARANCE YAY!!!!

Angel Soft Toilet paper on sale at Walgreens - Some Walgreens have the 9 pack roll for .47 and the 4 packs for .25. I paid .47 for the 4 pack and 1.19 for the 9 pack. Still a good deal....all the toilet paper above was purchased for $11.03. Its not advertised in the paper or even on the shelves, if you happen to find it just take it up to the register and have them scan it to let you know how much they are. This does not include the "double rolls". There is also a sale on toilet paper called "Real SOft" This is also on the 4 packs and its not the double rolls. If you are lucky enough to find these, they should ring up at .25 per 4 pack!

Revlon Hair Dryer

Im back with my deal of the week and this weeks deal is at WALGREENS! Heres the deal! Yall know the pink Revlon Hair Dryers? They are regular price $19.99-$24.99? Well they are on clearance right now for $12.99, BUT WAIT- THERES MORE!!! When you buy the hair dryer, even though its on clearance......you get a $10 Register Reward right then and there. You dont need a card or anything. Just stand there and wait for it after you pay cuz it takes a few secs after your transaction is done. This RR should be treated like cash since it works like cash. You can turn around, put the hair dryer in the car and come back in and use it on ANYTHING except another hair dryer, or you can but it will not give you more register rewards. I went tonight and bought one and then got my RR and went back and bought another with cash and got another $10 RR. Its that easy. Then I went back and got a package of HUGGIES and some other stuff since REMEMBER the huggies are on sale for $8.99 - $1.50 off coupon = $7.49 for a pack of HUGGIES>

Great Deals at Target

Check out what I got on clearance at Target last night. All I paid was 9.08 for the Pampers Wipes Box of 621 wipes. Thats 8 refill packs. It was marked down from 12.99. I didnt have any coupons for it but it was such a good deal I couldnt pass it up! The Dove Deodorant was also marked down and they came out to $1 each package. Remember you can match up Target coupons with manufacturers coupons to get better deals!

Deal on HUGGIES!!! YAY!!

For all you new mommies like me....new again! LOL! Calling all HUGGIES users. Have you seen the HUGGIES Pure and Natural diapers? They are great and on sale at Walmart for 9.97 or 8.97(I cant find my reciept) but if you have the $3 off coupon, found on www.coupons.com they come out to 5.97 or 6.97 which is still great! CVS May 1st

May 1st has been a good day.

I went to the new CVS in Converse and did ok. The hooks were on sale 2 X $5. I had coupons though. 2x $2.50 off metal hooks, 2 x $1.50 off any Scotch hooks and 2 x $1 off any Scotch hooks. Thats $10 in coupons. I spent $5 ECB and got back $5 for the hooks and spent $1.26 cash for the 2 Palmolive.
The toothbrushes as always were completelyy free with coupons from this past Sundays Smart Source. $1 off any Colgate Manual or battery powered toothbrush. The deodorant was on clearance for .92 each and I used $1 off coupons for each one. So yeah I spent a little on the soap but everything else was pretty much free. =-)

How To DO IT.....

OK, Im going to cut straight to the point......heres the deal with the coupons......Get them when you get your Sunday paper.
You should get REDPLUM, SMARTSOURSE and the first Sunday of the month you should get a P&G and maybe even UNILEVER. Get a marker or dark pen and write the date BOLDLY on the front.
You can go thru the coupons but try not to mix them up. THis makes it easier to find the needed coupon for whatever sale you are going to cash in on. I may say "COUPON IN SMARTSOURCE 04/01/09" This makes it easier to find. Dont throw away coupons that you dont think you will use or need.
Remember, you can print out coupons online too. Its free. Personally, I like www.coupons.com for coupons. The beginning of the month is the best time to get them. Remember though there is a print limit per computer. If you see a coupon on there that you want, hit print and get it right away. There are people out there who go after the best coupons. I dont know how they do it but they print out a lot of them and then when you go back, they are gone.

Ask your friends and family for thier coupons if they dont use them. This is a good way to get more. If you live anywhere on the Southside of San Antonio, you should get the Southside Reporter. They have 1 coupon insert in there from the previous Sunday. I like to get all of the coupons from each week and put them in a folder with the date written in the front.

Finally look online. Theres so many helpful sites. Im going to try to add buttons onto here so you can click to visit other sites. Below I will list my favorites again. If you have any questions, send me a message or comment my blog.
